Are you Ready for MRO Americas?

Both Mike Dusnt and Brent Webb will be attending MRO Americas, Brent will be attending several sessions in the conference.  That isn't the BIG news though.  For those arriving early, and want a chance to do something big, create a memory that won't easily be forgotten, there is always this:

Aeroxchange 2013

What an excellent Aeroxchange conference.  Parts pooling seemed to be the theme of the conference, while people at the pool seemed to be a favorite activity.  Beautiful weather allowed for the first scuba diving event sponsored by AI Intellectual Property and Aircraft Inventory.

Speaking on the opening day, Brent Webb discussed what can be done on the new mobile device platforms, and what is being done.

Aeroxchange 2013

Come see Aircraft Inventory at Aeroxchange in Cancun at the end of February and begin with our newest adventure.  Anyone can play golf (well they can at least ride in a cart), or hang out doing something on the surface, but the only the few can explore under the waves.  Come join us as we spend the morning on a private adventure under water.

All video was shot in Cancun during Aeroxchange 2012

Christmas in DisneyWorld

Some of the coolest diving during the winter can be done in an aquarium.  Actually, in this case it was my (Brent) third trip to the Living Seas at Epcot, now called The Living Seas with Nemo and Friends (I guess).  This time to check out hopefully what will be our sponsored event at ACPC in Orlando this summer.  Several invited guests will be able to go to The Living Seas and dive the reef with AIMS Salesmen Mike Dunst and Joe King.  For Mike this will be like returning home, as he has been in this aquarium as many times as I have, if not more, and Joe, well he has already been diving with the sharks in full body armor, so this should be a walk in the park.

MRO Asia 2012

While traveling to MRO Asia in Singapore, Brent took a short jaunt to Bali, Indonesia to try out the famous diving there.  While both Manta Rays and Mole Mole (Sun Fish) were out of season, the wide array of soft corals, clown fish, gigantic trigger fish, puffer fish, and ribbon eel certainly didn't disappoint.  What did disappoint was the Contour Camera which didn't cooperate on the dive in which a beautiful Mantis Shimp

Mantis

was spotted, and ran out of battery on the dive in which there was a ribbon eel.

Michael, Kyle, and Wendy Open Water Checkout

Mike Dunst brought Michael West, Kyle Parker, and Wendy Parker out to Clearsprings Scuba Park for their open water checkout dives this weekend. Despite less than stellar visibility everyone demonstrated excellent dive skills and became certified SCUBA divers! Over half of the Aircraft Inventory team are now certified divers.  Michael and Kyle came across a rare albino catfish on their dive.

The Great Shark Dive of ACPC 2012

Mike and Joe survived the dive at Mandalay Bay! Both described the dive as "unforgettable." The dive was packed with close encounters with all types of sharks, eels, and sea turtles.

Diving Lake Balboa

Brent and Cale visit Hot Springs Village to pull cable and setup a new computer at a remote work station but still manage to find time to get away and dive. Diving lake Balboa was an interesting dive, with a max depth of the dive 21 feet and highlights such as a turtle and an old Milwakes Best can from the 80's the dive wasn't much to look at but any time spent under water is something to enjoy. The 85 minute dive toured much of the lake bottom, a great time to test out Brents new dive toy iGills.

COMING SOON: Joe and Mike Shark Week Special

Joe and Mike are heading to ACPC this Friday to meet and mingle with customers. But before the conference they are taking a plunge into the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef tank to dive with sharks. Come by the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas Saturday August 18th around 5PM and see if Mike and Joe become shark food.

Checking out the warm waters of the Gulf

Scoping out the warm waters of the gulf, led to what we thought would be an uneventful dive.  2 Octopi, a Baracuda, and Flounder later, just proves that ever dive is a good dive.

Scuba Team AIMS adds another diver to the world

Between business trips, Instructor Brent added another diver to the underwater world.  Logan, his nephew did all his training and water work in the warm gulf waters.

AIMS Scuba team grows

Scott Owens and Joe King join Mike Dunst at the lake to perform their open water checkout dive to earn their NAUI Scuba certification. Beautiful weather and warm water made it a checkout to remember. Both Scott and Joe performed excellent and passed their test with flying colors bring the total number of certified divers at AIMS to 6.

If you are interested in learning how to Scuba dive call our office (972-488-0580), Mike will be more than happy to talk about diving and help you get on your path to being certified.

A day at the lake. One fine June day

After working to get the buddy to wake up on the first day, Brent and friend took off to Clear Springs Scuba Park.  On the second day, Brent did 2 more dives.  The dive ran into Blue Gill Spawning area.

Diving at the ASA conference in Seattle

Despite gloomy weather and chilly water Brent and Mike found time to board a boat and jump in the water. Dennis Lucia guided the pair to an old submerged pier on his Nisqually Indian tribe boat. The fridgid 54 degree waters of Washington made for different diving than Brent and Mike are used to diving in North Texas and the Carribean. Large slow moving star fish and bright white anemones covered the old pier at the dive site.

Both Mike Dunst & Brent Webb helped check out one of the largest Scuba classes for Scuba Toys.  28 candidate divers went to the lake and had a great time in warm water and great visibility.  Thermocline was just below the platform, making it a swim in bathwater weekend.  Brent, Mike along with two other instructors were joined by Cale Sherry as he came out to enjoy the weekend with a dive.  Congratulations to all the new divers and welcome to the world of diving.

Back in Time

Back at the ASA Conference in 2009, Mike Dunst and Brent Webb went on an adventure few get to experience.  They trekked under the SEA at Disney Epcot's Living Seas exhibit.  Here they were the attraction as they swam through one of the largest aquariums in the world.  Whether it was playing with the children eating dinner or dancing the waltz with the wedding couple that had rented out one of the ballrooms, it was truly a unique experience to be on the "other side of the glass"

Both Mike and Brent are SCUBA instructors, adding to the other divers at Aircraft Inventory.

2012 Aeroxchange Conference

While at the 2012 Aeroxchange Users Conference in Cancun, Brent and Cale found some time to get away from the presentations and go blow some bubbles.

Welcome!

This is the blog for the Aircraft Inventory Scuba Dive Team. We will post pictures/ stories of our dive trips.
